In the current climate, many operations are no longer available through the NHS, or they're restricted with long delays. In some cases with new restrictions being introduced you may not even qualify for treatment.

At BMI Healthcare, we understand how frustrating it can feel to be stuck on the wrong end of a long waiting list. The fact is, paying for yourself, with our self-pay option means you really don't need to get worse before you get better. Treatment when you choose will have you back to feeling your old self in no time at all.

Five simple steps to fast treatment with BMI Healthcare

1. Find out the cost of your treatment

Before you receive any treatment privately, call us on 0800 142 2316 and ask for a quote. With many of our procedures available at a fixed price, there are no worries about any unexpected bills.

2. Getting a referral

Most medical treatments start with a referral to a specialist from your GP. however you can self refer for a number of treatments and book appointments directly with the hospital.

3. Seeing the specialist

Your specialist will decide whether you need some tests, admission for a stay in hospital or treatment that can be carried out as a day patient. having had your personal needs identified we will let you know how much your treatment will cost before going ahead.

4. Arranging treatment

Whether you require a simple outpatient procedure or need major surgery you can access treatment with very little waiting time. so you can choose when is most convenient for you.

5. Paying for treatment

You can pay for your treatment by cash, cheque, credit or debit card, or with the BMI card - our own personal credit card offering six months interest free credit, followed by a typical apr of 9.9%.

Spread the cost of your treatment with the BMI Card

While the special prices range makes private healthcare more affordable, the BMI Card† will also make it easier to pay for your treatment.

With access to flexible finance via our BMI Card† you have the option of spreading the cost of the operation over a period of up to 24 months, including the initial 6 months interest free, followed by a typical APR of 9.9%.

The worked example below illustrates the type of payments you would need to make for a hip replacement using the BMI Card†. Spreading the cost of your treatment may make private hospital operations a more affordable choice, coupled with the special prices offered.

If you would like to find out more about the BMI Card†, please click here.

† BMI Card is a credit facility offered by BMI Healthcare Limited, 4 Thameside Centre, Kew Bridge Road, Middlesex TW8 0HF. Credit is offered for an initial period of six months on an interest free basis and thereafter at a typical APR of 9.9%. A minimum payment is required each month from the start of the loan equivalent to 5% of the outstanding balance or £25 whichever is the greater, or the outstanding balance shown on the statement if it is less than £25. First 3 months payments at £425, however, you can choose to reduce your payments and pay over a longer term by paying the minimum amount instead each month.
